Please read and download the official Wexler's Retrievers Pet Purchase Agreement. We mandate that all families review and sign this commitment prior to final companion pairing.
Wexler's Retrievers
Pinnacle Breeding Program · Champion Lineages
1. Companion Identification & Intent
This document represents a binding purchase contract between the Seller (Wexler's Retrievers) and the Buyer. Every puppy under this registry is bred solely for robust health, structural soundness, and emotional intelligence. By default, all puppies are sold under AKC Limited Registration (Pet Only) for $800. Breeding rights and AKC Full Registration can be granted for $1,000, subject to separate evaluation and written breeder approval.
2. Deposit & Refundable Reservation Fee
A deposit of $350 is required to secure a place on our waiting list. This reservation fee is fully refundable if the breeder is unable to supply a puppy from the selected litter pairing. The remaining balance is due at or before physical handoff/delivery of the companion. Payments can be settled via cash, bank check, or secure online invoice links.
3. Initial Veterinary Verification
The Seller guarantees the puppy is in good health at physical pickup. The Buyer is required to have the puppy examined by a licensed veterinarian within 72 hours (3 days) of taking possession. If diagnosed as clinically ill or structurally defective within this window, the puppy can be returned for a full refund of the purchase price. Stress-induced minor parasites (coccidia, giardia) are not covered.
4. Comprehensive Three-Year Genetic Guarantee
The puppy is protected against life-altering congenital or hereditary defects until three (3) years of age (including severe hereditary hip dysplasia, hereditary elbow dysplasia, congenital heart defects, and inherited ocular blindness). If a genetic disorder is verified by a certified specialist and radiographs/testing, the Buyer may:
- Keep the puppy and receive reimbursement for approved veterinary therapeutic costs up to the total purchase price.
- Return the puppy and receive a full replacement puppy of equal value from the next available litter.
- Return the puppy and receive a refund of the original purchase price (less the initial deposit).
5. Buyer Care & Rearing Responsibilities
The Buyer agrees to raise the puppy in a safe household environment, providing age-appropriate nutrition and standard veterinary checkups. To protect developing joints during the first year, the Buyer agrees to avoid excessive high-impact exercises (jumps higher than 2.5 feet, running on hard concrete, stairs over-use) and maintain a healthy weight. Feeding premium quality food is required.
6. Lifetime Rehoming Commitment
If at any point in the companion's life the Buyer can no longer provide a suitable home, the Buyer agrees to notify the Seller. The Seller will coordinate placement. The puppy/dog must never be surrendered to an animal shelter or rescue organization. We will always receive our dogs back, prioritizing their safety and welfare above all else.
